Hollywood stars would like you to believe they’re not as superficial as the glamorous lifestyles they lead. Sure they might make millions, but they love to use that cash to feed starving children and help the homeless.

How can these socially aware stars spend thousands on some arm candy while people in third-world countries are still dying of hunger? Some of these bags are so expensive, they’d easily feed an entire African village.

If you’ve pledged to help fight poverty how can you justify spending thousands on a designer handbag when that that money could make a huge impact on poverty to hundreds (if not thousands) of people.  source

Finally, someone who 'gets it'  Now sure, celebs deserve to spoil themselves, we all do. Celebs needs safety, privacy and security.  They don't need Shetland ponies for their toddlers.  What they need is a sense of reality and humility.  Two qualities Hollywood desperately lacks.  To be fair, they do give more than I ever could in ten life times.  But it's easy to give money when you have too much of it.  It's more about dedicating your time.  That's much more difficult to do and a much bigger sacrifice.

It's after reading stories of Jlo and Madonna's excessive personal spending habits that desperately make me believe in a God.  There has to be a balance somewhere?  The poor and meek can't just keep being poor and meek can they..?  I have to believe that someone somewhere will even the score.
