Concert Review, Disco Biscuits
Wow.  I first heard one of their songs on satellite radio, "morph dusseldorf" a 20 minute jam of giant proportions. Now typically I wouldn't have allowed myself to space for 20 minutes especially whilst driving, but the 5 minutes that I did concentrate on, really kicked me in a place I hadn't been kicked before.

I found out they were playing the House of Blues on Sunset and quickly snapped up 2 tickets.  I had no idea who the second ticket would be for, but who had time for details.  Besides, at 30$ bucks a pop, the cost for 2 tickets is still cheaper than 1 ticket for a 'bigger' show.

After buying the tickets, I went on to download one of their live albums, "The Wind At Four To Fly" which gave me a small taste of what I was in store for.

Being a veteran concert going in LA, I've learned that when a ticket says '8PM' they really mean 9:30.. so don't bother showing up on time or you'll be standing around for an hour or so growing tired and bored so that by the time the show starts, you're already lagging a bit.

So 9:30, the Biscos hit the stage.  Holy Phuck, 30 minutes later, their first song finally ends.  I don't know their names, or the songs - and these days I couldn't give a shit and let's be honest at this point in my 30+ year old life, it would gay to start obsessing over 4 guys playing music.   (U2 aside).  The point is, the music was so intense that not knowing the words or the hooks of a song was irrelevant.  And being my first show, I wasn't bothered by their set list or inclusion or exclusion of any one song - everything was golden.

They did some Zappa and for their encore,  "Have a Cigar" by Pink Floyd.

During their 3 hour show, every bit of my faith that I lost over the years of shite music was restored.  It was my first show and certainly won't be my last.  If you are looking for a mind blowing time, check out the Disco Biscuits at a venue near you.
