New Years MSG 2005, Phish
It seemed too nice a coincidence, Jerry kicked it in August '95 and a few months later Phish's,  MSG New Year's show is considered by most their best live show ever?  Negro please.  Perennially, The Dead owned New Years Eve.  Who the phuck is Phish?

So I continued on my merry way...this is not to say I didn't like Phish, but of all the shows...?  So like I generally do, I stayed away from that which is popular.

I went to a phew shows, downloaded them and a few other random ones but never went in for the big one.
Let's be honest, the $24 price tag also had something to do with it  - and already having 10 live shows (a tiny amount in comparison) did I really want to spend that much on another Phish show...

I received an I-Tunes gift card for Christmas, so what better time to be redundant.?  I bought the entire show, 27 songs and 2 videos.  Holy Phuck!!!  If you are looking to start, pick this album up.  Or maybe wait.  Get some other shows first.. because after this, it may all be downhill.

Now the 3 of you reading this know that I don't know much - and I'm certainly no Phish expert.. I'm certainly no expert... anyway, as far as live albums, Live at Madison Square Garden, New Years 1995 truly stands up to the hype.  Notable tracks, Runaway Jim, Chalk Dust, Sparkle... the whole thing makes for a memorable Friday night.

'You Enjoy Myself' (Track 24) is the only annoyance, towards the end of the song (about 22 minutes into it) they go off and start phucking around with their voices into the mics.  It's aggravating listening to it all baked on the couch.. I can only imagine what some poor acid dropping kid from Vermont, in attendance was going through.

The point is, some things that are popular are in fact good or great, like Gretzky.  I hated him when I was a kid, but then I grew up and realized that some things in fact do live up to the hype.  Consider the Source.
