Good morning campers...Dr. Tom couldn't be with us today, something about needing to get a real job..rent or whatever.  Anyway, you're stuck with me for this review.

Let's first start out by saying, I sure hope Liv Tyler is a better mother than actress, because as an actress, she's as useless as shit.  Did the casting director not see Lord of the Rings?  Her stupid whipser voice, her naive look as if she's always asking, "but why" ...it's enough to make you want her to be killed within the first 5 minutes of the opening credits.  But ney.  She doesn't die in the first 5 minutes...she keeps on going and going until you eventually want to kill yourself. 

Anyway, enough of Liv, on with the movie.  The Strangers runs about an hour and a half.  The skinny; Guy invites girl back to his parent's summer home.  After a few minutes of the usual boy girl dialogue, hilarity ensues.  Knocks at the door, creepy music, but not Freddy Krugar creepy, but Hank Williams creepy. (like a page from a Tarantino flick).  It'll make you jump.

I didn't really believe Liv's character as much as I did the script itself.  Does that make sense?  Probably not.  Which is why I don't write reviews.  Scott Speedman was pretty good, but he's a total moron in the movie.  But what movie doesn't have one?  

It's certainly a creepy movie, it's worth the price of admission, but even more - it's worth the price of a rental.  If you go, bring a date.  Because if you're looking for a reason to grab her, this is it.
