TagsMMA Fighter, Urijah Faber, WEC |
A tactician in the ring, a fierce trainer outside of it, Urijah Faber is the ultimate poster boy for the World Extreme Cagefighting league. Ripped like a frat boy at a kegger, Faber's boyish good looks have made him the up-and-coming circuit's most marketable fighter.
Faber, the current WEC featherweight champion, is known for his superior conditioning, relentless aggressive fighting style and his blink-your-eyes-and-it's-already-over matches. Faber has recently defended his title successfully against the likes of Joe Pearson, Dominic Cruz, Chance Farrar and Jeff Curran since the beginning of 2007. The only blemish on Faber's otherwise superlative career record is a TKO loss to now-UFC lightweight Tyson Griffin in September 2005. In recent interviews, Faber has stated that he expects his next fight to be against UFC legend Jens Pulver.
